The specifications of Intel’s 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh Non-K Desktop CPU lineup have been leaked & will feature similar prices as 13th gen chips.

Intel 14th Gen Raptor Lake Desktop Non-K CPU Refresh Lineup Specs & Prices Leaked

Intel will be unveiled its 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh Desktop CPU lineup in September followed by a launch in October. The new family is expected to be a refinement of the existing 13th Gen line with the main changes including higher clock speeds and better memory support. A few SKUs will also be getting a core count bump but overall, we can expect similar performance which has been leaked already here.

Today’s topic mostly covers the specifications and most importantly, the prices of the 14th Gen Intel Raptor Lake refresh family. It is mentioned in the leak that the 14th Gen CPUs will feature the same prices as the 13th Gen SKUs.  Besides that, we also get to know the specifications of the Non-K lineup but Core i3 SKUs are missing at the moment. So just as a recap, here’s everything we can expect from Intel’s 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh Desktop CPUs:

  • Same Architecture as Raptor Lake (Raptor Cove P-Cores + Gracemont E-Cores)
  • Same Process Node as Raptor Lake (Intel 7 aka 10nm++)
  • Higher Clock Speeds (+200 MHz Per “K” SKU)
  • Support For Faster DDR5 Memory DIMMs
  • Much Higher Power Consumption (Close To 300W)
  • Compatibility With Existing LGA 1700 / 1800 Socket Motherboards

Intel Core i9-14900K CPU Specifications

Starting with the flagship, we have the Intel Core i9-14900K CPU which will feature 16 cores & 32 threads in a 8+16 configuration. The CPU will feature up to 36 MB of Smart Cache and a base TDP of 125W (253W PL2). It will feature clock speeds of 3.2 GHz at the base and up to 6.0 GHz with Thermal Velocity Boost. These frequencies are currently for the pre-QS stage so we might see the rumored 6.2 GHz on either this chip or a “KS” variant later down the road. Regardless, this will be a +200 MHz frequency jump over the Core i9-13900K and the same as the Core i9-13900KS.

Intel Core i7-14700K CPU Specifications

For the Core i7-14700K, Intel will be utilizing its 8+12 core configuration which offers 20 cores and 28 threads. This will be a nice upgrade over the existing Core i7-13700K which offers an 8+8 core configuration, allowing for a nice boost to multi-threading performance thanks to those extra E-Cores. The CPU will offer 33 MB of smart cache (vs 30 MB) and feature clock speeds of 3.4 GHz at the base and up to 5.6 GHz with TBMT3. That’s also a +200 MHz boost over the 13700K & we can see performance uplifts of around 5-10% from this particular SKU.

Intel Core i5-14600K CPU Specifications

Lastly, we have the Intel Core i5-14600K which unfortunately isn’t using an 8+8 configuration as the rumors had told but rather a 6+8 which is the same as the Core i5-13600K. The cache and TDP will remain the same but the clock speeds will see a +200 MHz to 5.3 GHz, offering up to a 5% boost in performance over its predecessor.

Intel 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh Non-K Desktop Lineup Specs

For the Non-K lineup, leaker, chi11eddog has revealed specs of at least five SKUs which include the Core i9-14900, Core i7-14700, Core i5-14600, Core i5-14500, & the Core i5-14400. All chips are 65W designs and besides the Core i5-14400, all share the same specs as the “K” SKUs. The base clocks are mentioned but the Core i5-14400 features a 6+4 configuration which means there’s a total of 10 cores and 16 threads. Just like the last gen, the 14th gen will not have any “F” variants of Core i5-14600 or Core i5-14500. The full specs can be seen in the table below:
