La Compagnie, which offers only business-class flights between New York and France, and Italy, intends to conduct a test run in the Caribbean region.
In order to introduce a new Caribbean vacation package that includes business class flights to St. Maarten, the company has teamed up with travel agency E. Clarke Travel.
The agreement, known as Travel in Style Journeys, will provide customers round-trip flights from Princess Juliana International Airport in St. Maarten and Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey.
The flights will run on Sundays once a week, starting on November 26 and continuing through April 14, 2024.
Travelers must book packages that include seven-night stays at opulent resorts and villas on St. Maarten or other islands such as Anguilla and St. Barth. Packages will also include transportation to the other two islands.
Partner hotels include the Grand Case Beach Club in St. Martin, La Samana and Le Barthelemy in St. Barth, among others. A preferred partner is WIMCO, the leading villa provider in the region.
“These new flights to St. Maarten are an exciting development for La Compagnie as they mark our official entry into the Caribbean market,” said La Compagnie CEO, Christian Vernet. “With leisure travel expected to remain strong, we’re thrilled to partner with Travel in Style Journeys to offer an effortless path to some of the destination’s most sought-after islands.”
All 76 seats on the A321neo aircraft operated by La Compagnie will have lie- flat beds, state-of-the-art technology, free Wi-Fi, amenity kits, and menus created by Michelin-starred chefs.
The company is constantly looking for methods to provide better service to its customers. We are building a corridor of trust and comfort with Travel In Style Journeys and La Compagnie to bring both new and returning customers from New York to Sint Maarten and beyond, stated E. Clarke Travel CEO Wahid Essafi.
Although the service may only be included in packages booked through E. Clarke Travel, it could herald a broader entry for the airline into the Caribbean market.
