My Father’s family has resided in Port Gibson, Mississippi for many, many generations. This Spring, my Grandparents are preparing move away from the home that my father grew up in, which has housed the Person Family since 1860.
This sunny Southern winter weekend, we have all gathered for biscuits, gumbo, copious Bourbon & storytelling and to celebrate & pay homage to this big, beautiful, historic, much loved and joyfully lived-in home.

Hi, I just came across your blog and have greatly appreciated it. Thank you for teaching me a bit about how to make the something personal without breeching privacy. Your entries construct a narrative, but don’t force an opinion. I’ve just started blogging and am trying to find my niche. I’m not sure that I even care if anyone visits my sites–but I may in the future. For now I’m just trying testing a creative outlet and building places to pursue a few different interests–many of which are still meandering. I’d like to do something different than the rest, but the idea’s no here yet. I’ll figure it out eventually, but thanks for one option beautifully presented.
